***The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) has jurisdiction over all Canadian roadways and has several police vehicles equipped with Radar Detector Detector Units (RDDU). These devices are effective in detecting the presence of a radar detector in use in a car.

Section 135 of the National Highway Traffic Act also gives an RCMP officer the power to stop, enter, and search a motor vehicle that they have reasonable grounds to believe is equipped with a radar warning device and to seize any such device that is found, only in those provinces and territories where the use of radar detectors is illegal.

Drivers found to be using a radar warning device by the RCMP are subject to a $150 fine, surcharge, and the forfeiture and destruction of the device.

Note: K40 Electronics radar detectors are equipped with RDD Guard.
RDD Guard provides protection from radar detector detectors.
