In the latest chapter of the lengthy Chicago Tribune investigation of Chicago’s red-light camera and speed camera programs, the former city official that oversaw contracts was indicted on 20 counts of accepting up to $2 million in bribes. Perhaps a fitting end to what has cost drivers $500 million in dubious fines.
